Every year the “Ruta del Tambor y el Bombo” (the Drum Trail) celebrates the importance of various types of drums, and transforms Baena into a stunning fiesta.
On the day of the Virgen Blanca de la Alegría procession (the second Sunday in June) the people taking part in the procession (“romeros”) and horse riders gather together amidst dancing and the singing of traditional songs.
For one weekend in September, Baena travels back in time with its Mediaeval market, where you can enjoy a range of activities from another era. In the first week in October, the Feria Real fair is preceded by the Cofrade Tapas and Wine Tasting Fair.
In November, the Olive and Olive Oil Fair offers a wide range of activities related to this liquid gold.
